Day 1: Kigali City tour and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Day 1: Kigali To Volcanoes National Park
Your driver will pick you up from your accommodation or the airport and start off the journey to Musanze, Rwanda’s second largest city after Kigali.
On your arrival in Musanze, you will be so close to the five Virunga volcanoes, Musanze will be your base from which to explore Volcanoes National Park.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
You will have an early breakfast at your hotel, and proceed directly to the Volcanoes National Park’s headquarters to meet your guides. After completing the briefing, you’ll embark on the once in a lifetime experience of tracking the endangered mountain gorillas.
The time taken to trek gorillas depends on where the gorilla family you are going to trek is located, and it also depends on the weather conditions. It can take anywhere from two up to six hours of trekking through the mountainous forest at relatively high altitudes. Physical fitness is definitely recommended for those wishing to undertake the excursion.
Getting into contact with the gorillas after you have found them is one of the most memorable experiences you will ever have on this safari. You’ll be lucky enough to come within mere meters of a family of these rare and beautiful animals, observing their family differences and learning a bit more about each gorilla’s distinct personality in serene silence.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking
On the third day of the 3 Days Golden Monkeys & Gorillas Safari, we shall track another of the Volcanoes National Park’s primate inhabitants, the golden monkeys which can only be found in the Volcanoes Conservation Area.
You’ll trek through the dense stands of bamboo in search of these playful golden monkeys, who are well habituated to visitors. You’ll be able to view the golden monkeys playing, feeding on bamboo, and leaping from tree to tree with the help of there long tails. While your time with the gorillas is limited to an hour, there is ample time to see the inquisitive creatures in their natural habitat. After a hot lunch at your lodge, you’ll then return to Kigali for your onward travel and that marks the end of 3 days golden monkeys and gorillas safaris.
